How does the planning process work?
We take personalization seriously. The process begins as we listen and learn about your interests, priorities, and general travel style. In the course of dreaming up your bespoke trip, we also provide insights to ensure you’re aware of special places and experiences you may not have considered (we’re not shy).
Once you agree we’ve captured your vision for your special trip, we ask for a planning fee and proceed to designing a completely unique itinerary, taking your feedback into account along the way. Everyone’s “perfect” trip is unique, which is why we obsess over each aspect of your adventure, and refrain from reusing itineraries (our sample itineraries are meant for inspiration only!). For us and our clients, the highly human — and “inefficient” — step of personalizing the details is what makes the planning process so rewarding.

Some travel companies tout their access to discounts, but the main reason travelers book through us is to gain access to our profound travel expertise and to a vetted network of local experiences and guides. Not only will we help you dream up a completely unique itinerary through our extraordinarily personalized trip-planning process, we’ll also save you countless hours expertly coordinating the nitty-gritty logistics of your trip (not to mention a team on the ground that has your back in case of a mid-trip emergency). Our service is ideal for travelers who appreciate expert assistance and meaningful, personalized experiences.
What does it cost?
It depends on where you’re going, when you’re going, how you like to travel, and how many of you there are. Scandinavia costs more than Cambodia. Peak season costs more than shoulder season. As a broad point of reference, our trips tend to begin around US $10,000-$20,000 and up per person, depending on a wide range of considerations (please note that we specialize in trips of one week and longer). Some travelers don’t have a specific budget in mind, but if you have a preferred range or limit please just let us know and we’ll be happy to provide input. Your personalized itinerary is offered as a completely bespoke package, and we don’t include itemized pricing.
Should I send you my AI-generated trip ideas?
Respectfully, please don’t. AI-inspired itineraries are too often a collection of unvetted tidbits cobbled together from random websites. Rather than having the chance to get to know you before offering truly personalized suggestions, providing feedback on a generic AI outline means forgoing our more holistic, human approach to trip-planning. We love getting to know our clients before jumping to conclusions, and do our best work when starting from scratch. Though it sounds cliché, every traveler really is different, and our recommendations vary depending on your tastes, preferences, priorities, trip seasonality, and countless other factors. Our approach is not the quickest, but yields an intentional, creative, and human-centered experience.
How far in advance should we plan?
Given the nature of our trips, we encourage advance planning and sadly cannot accept last-minute requests. Planning around a year ahead of time is ideal for in-demand destinations and peak travel periods. Outside of peak seasons, we recommend planning 6-9 months in advance, depending on the destination.
Can you help me book just [fill in the blank]?
We don’t offer “a la carte” services. Specializing in complete trips enables us to do what we do best: crafting a seamless experience from start to finish.
Can we use points or miles to book our own hotels?
Being avid points enthusiasts ourselves, we fully appreciate the desire to redeem them. That said, since lodging is so deeply woven into the experience we’re building for you, all accommodation bookings are managed in-house as part of our service.
Do you have group tours I can join?
We do not offer group trips, and specialize in completely private itineraries, designed around you.
