SCANDINAVIA

Scandinavia decided several centuries ago that design, food, landscape, time outside, time inside, and time with people you like are all worth optimizing for. The cities are some of the most livable on Earth and the food and design scenes have spent the last two decades becoming the reference point everyone else is now copying. You'll run out of adjectives for the landscapes: Norwegian fjords, Finnish forests under the aurora, Swedish archipelagos that scatter into the Baltic by the tens of thousands, the long summer light that lingers late into the night. Scandinavia is for the traveler who wants the considered hotel, the meal that took someone's whole career to perfect, and the kind of nature that leaves an indelible mark on your soul. Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland sit close enough together that one trip can move fluidly between them without ever losing the thread.

Where You'll Stay
We spend a lot of time obsessing over the perfect accommodations. Our favorites tend to be smaller, boutique properties with a unique sense of style and fantastic service.
Here are just a few of our favorites...
Three of Our Favorite Spots

Stockholm
01
Fourteen islands, stitched together by bridges and ferries, are just one aspect of the design at the core of the charismatic Swedish capital. The old town is lined with cobblestone and amber light, the museums are world-class, and the dining scene has evolved past its New Nordic phase into a city where Michelin-trained chefs have traded tweezers for buzzy neighborhood bistros. Stockholm is the kind of city that immediately makes you wonder why you don't live here.

Finnish Lapland
02
Winter brings huskies, reindeer, frozen lakes, and the aurora working magic across the sky that no photograph has ever adequately captured. Summer offers endless daylight, birch forests gone electric green, and a silence so complete it takes a day to adjust. Two entirely different landscapes that happen to share the same coordinates, and one deep Sami culture.

Norwegian Fjords
03
The photographs don't lie, they just don't prepare you for the epic scale of Norway’s headline landscapes: cliffs dropping straight into water so still that it mirrors the sky, waterfalls threading down from grand heights, and narrow mountain roads that end at quintessentially Nordic lodges. Best approached slowly and with nowhere urgent to be on the other side, you’ll be telling stories about this place for years.

“You guys planned such a wonderful trip for us. It really was a perfect itinerary. The guides were terrific and the private boat tours were excellent. We really felt we had a good mix of down time and scheduled guides/trips... We love working with you!”
