ARGENTINA

What is the Argentina you see when you close your eyes? Do you see the last light falling across the rust-red canyon walls of the Quebrada de Humahuaca, a landscape so ancient it feels borrowed from another planet? Do you see a table in San Telmo, the wine already open, a cut of beef arriving that makes you confront everything you thought you knew about steak? Do you see the Southern Cross hanging over Patagonia so low you could almost touch it, the silence so complete it becomes its own kind of sound? Do you see vineyards in Mendoza at harvest, the Andes behind them doing something the word "backdrop" was never designed to describe? This is the Argentina we want you to see.

Where You'll Stay

We spend a lot of time obsessing over the perfect accommodations. Our favorites tend to be smaller, boutique properties with a unique sense of style and fantastic service.

Here are just a few of our favorites...

Three of Our Favorite Spots

Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires

01

The city operates on its own logic and its own schedule, and once you accept that, everything will work great. Dinner at ten, milongas at midnight, bookshops the size of theaters. Buenos Aires rewards the traveler who leaves their own schedule at the door and embraces what it has to offer.

PATAGONIA

PATAGONIA

02

At the bottom of the world, the land runs out and all that's left is the silence. Glaciers calve into lakes the color of glacial flour, condors work the thermals above peaks, and the scale of everything refuses to fit inside a photograph. Come prepared to feel appropriately small.

THE NORTHWEST

THE NORTHWEST

03

This is the Argentina most visitors never see. The Quebrada de Humahuaca cuts through canyon walls that shift from ochre to violet depending on the hour, colonial villages sit at altitudes that require some extra work from your lungs, and the Torrontés grown in Cafayate's high-desert vineyards tastes like nowhere else on earth.

"Another wonderful trip this time to Argentina and Peru visiting amazing geographies (waterfalls, glaciers, mountains) and interesting cites. The guides were all amazing and the logistics all worked flawlessly. It really is no stress travel. We learnt a lot about the history and politics of the countries visited and we avoided the crowds at nearly all times. The hotels picked were wonderful and well placed. There is not much I could say that could be better."
